The Cincinnati Reds are opening their 60-game 2020 season playing against the Detroit Tigers at Great American Ball Park at 6:10 p.m. on July 24 — with no fans in the stands.

And while there may not be a 101st Findlay Market Opening Day parade, the market is still celebrating Opening Day with a slew of activities.

Market vendors are taking to the ballpark theme with specialized offerings:

  • Ecklerin Meats will be grilling metts, brats, hot dogs and burgers from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. at their storefront.
  • Honey Child Artisan Pops will be serving strawberry and cream swirl pops in the Biergarten from noon-4 p.m.
  • Makers Bakers Co. will be serving up fried food — fried cheesecake bites, golden crispy onions, fried pickles, beer-battered corn dogs and sausages — from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. in the Biergarten.
  • And Streetside and Christian Moerlein beers will be on tap from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. in the Biergarten, with $1 off drafts from 4-8 p.m.

For entertainment, look for live music from cover band Fycus at 5 p.m. and live game coverage on speakers in the Biergarten after the tunes. There will also be free samples of craft sodas at Madison's from 1-5 p.m. and free backyard grill out treats from Neil Luken Meats at Elaine’s Kitchen located on the Race Street esplanade starting at noon.
