Kroger is bringing its Wellness Your Way Festival back to the Duke Energy Convention Center with a big ol' roster of health and fitness celebs, wellness experts and Jewel, the singer-songwriter and fest co-founder.
The stated goal of Wellness Your Way is that it is "a life-altering weekend experience to kick-start your journey to a healthy lifestyle." Held Oct. 11-13, the convention center will be broken into different zones focused on things like cooking, education, fitness, nutrition, etc.
Celebrities slated to appear (and their Kroger-provided descriptions) include:
- Jewel, multi-platinum singer-songwriter, actress, bestselling author and Wellness Your Way Festival co-founder
- Perez Hilton, social media mogul
- Shanicia Boswell, Black Mom’s blog founder
- Karena Dawn and Katrina Scott, Tone It Up co-founders
- Kaisa Keranen, KaisaFit founder
- Ron 'Boss' Everline, JustTrain founder
- Don-a-Matrix, celebrity trainer and BODYARMOR® partner
- Da Rulk, functional fitness guru
- Tony Horton, P90X founder
- Jen Widerstrom, television star and Laura’s Leanpartner
- Debbie Matenopolous, co-host of The Hallmark Channel’s Home & Family
- Joy Bauer, MS, RDN, bestselling author and celebrity health and nutrition expert
- Stuart O’Keeffe, Food Network chef and author of The Quick Six Fix
There will also be a musical competition called The Opening Act, which invites undiscovered artists to perform in front of a panel of judges (including Jewel), and a Bee-U-Tique Expo in collaboration with the Queen Bee Half Marathon expo.
Jewel's Never Broken Foundation is the official charity of the Wellness Your Way Festival.
The fest starts at 11 a.m. Oct. 11, 12 and 13. Tickets are $10 per day; $25 for a three-day pass; $35 for a three-day VIP pass.
