Rancid, NOFX and The Offspring to Headline New Ohio Punk Rock Music Festival Camp Anarchy in 2019

The three-day summertime event near Columbus replaces last year’s Camp Punk in Drublic festival and will also feature Pennywise, Off!, The Damned, X, Fear and Bad Religion

A new three-day Punk music festival/"campout” near Columbus, Ohio has been announced for 2019. Camp Anarchy will take place May 31-June 2 just outside of Columbus at the Legend Valley venue/campgrounds in Thornville, Ohio.

The announced music lineup for the inaugural Camp Anarchy so far includes headliners Rancid, NOFX and The Offspring, plus pioneering acts like X, Fear, Bad Religion, T.S.O.L., Suicidal Tendencies and The Damned. Other artists announced for 2019’s Camp Anarchy are Sick Of It All, Strung Out, Death By Stereo, Pennywise, Off!, The Suicide Machines, A Wilhelm Scream, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Less Than Jake and The Bronx.

Billed as “a new camping, craft beer and punk music festival,” Camp Anarchy takes the place of Camp Punk in Drublic, which debuted at the same location last year. That event was nearly identical and featured a few of the same bands, including Rancid and Pennywise. NOFX was also slated to play Camp Punk in Drublic (named for one of the band’s best-known albums) but canceled after controversy erupted over joking comments made on stage by band members in Las Vegas about the shooting at a Vegas Country music festival in 2017 that left 58 fans dead.

Other attractions announced for Camp Anarchy include craft beer tastings from a wide range of breweries (including Cincy’s own Rhinegeist), a “Dodgeball Arena,” the “Flea’s Market Vendor Village,” scavenger hunts, oversized Jenga, beer pong and cornhole and — most punkest of all — a “s’mores station.”

Tickets — $49.50 for one-day pass or $99.50 for three-day passes — go on sale Friday, Dec. 14 at 10 a.m. Visit campanarchyfest.com for details on camping, VIP packages and more.
