The Stuart & Mimi Rose Music Center at The Heights in Huber Heights, Ohio (near Dayton) has been nominated for an Academy of Country Music Award.
The full slate of ACM Award nominees was announced today. Rose Music Center — which is run by MEMI, the live-event promotions arm of the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra that's also behind Riverbend Music Center, the Taft Theatre and the forthcoming ICON venue on The Banks — is up for Outdoor Venue of The Year honors, a category included in the ACM's "Industry Awards." The amphitheater is up against some concert venue heavyweights, including Colorado's Red Rocks Amphitheatre and L.A.'s Greek Theatre.
Rose Music Center hosts a wide range of musical styles but usually has a Country-heavy lineup each season. In 2019, Rose Music Center presented concerts by Sugarland, Lady Antebellum, Travis Tritt and Vince Gill. The venue's 2020 season kicks off with the Charlie Daniels Band on May 2. The 4,200 seat amphitheater opened in 2015.
ACM's Industry Award winners are announced in early April.
