Today, critically acclaimed Indie singer/songwriter Lucy Dacus announced an extensive North American tour that includes a Nov. 5 concert at Cincinnati's Woodward Theater.
Tickets are $15 in advance and on sale now via cincyticket.com.
Dacus released her breakthrough sophomore album, Historian, last year to widespread praise. The album was featured on a number of "Best of 2018" lists, including those of NPR, Pitchfork, Roling Stone and Billboard, while Paste and NBC News declared it the very best album of last year.
This year, Dacus is releasing a series of singles (originals and covers) that are tied to various holidays. So far she's put out a cover of "La Vie En Rose" for Valentine's Day and her original "My Mother & I" for, you guessed it, Mother's Day. Further songs in the series include ones for the Fourth of July, Halloween, Christmas, New Year's and… Bruce Springsteen's birthday (in case that's not one of the holidays listed on your calendar, that's September 23 and he'll be turning the big 7-0 this year). The singles will be gathered up for a later EP release titled 2019.
Dacus' global tour continues today in Munich, Germany, where she's opening for Jawbreaker. She'll kick off her North American touring on July 27 at the Newport Folk Festival and record an episode for the PBS live-music program Austin City Limits on July 30.
