If you plan on casting a ballot in the November election, you'll want to make sure you're registered to do so — and soon. Today (Oct. 7) is the last day to register to vote in Ohio.

You can find out your voter status and/or register to vote at the Ohio Secretary of State's website. Even if you think you're registered, you'll want to double check: The state recently removed more than 180,000 voters from its registration rolls for inactivity.

Ohio Secretary of State Frank LaRose, a Republican, released a list of those eliminated from the voting rolls due to inactivity on Sept. 27. Under Ohio law, voters who haven't cast a ballot in six years and haven't responded to a reminder mailing can be removed from the registration rolls.

Voters removed from the rolls will still be able to vote via a provisional ballot thanks to a federal appeals court decision last year.
