Oakley's Brazee Street Studios wants to celebrate Fiona the hippo's fourth birthday with a special DIY project.
You can immortalize the Cincinnati Zoo's plump princess by making your very own fused glass Fiona plate. The team at the studios' GLASSROOM will be hosting a special Zoom birthday party where guests can use a take-home kit to create their own work of art.
This all-ages event takes place at 5:30 p.m. Jan. 21. (Fiona's birthday is Jan. 24.)
"You can celebrate Fiona’s birthday while getting step-by-step instructions on how to create your Fiona plate all while having fun on ZOOM," says a release. "A portion of all proceeds from 'Fiona’s Birthday Party ZOOM Workshop; will go towards hippo conservation through The Cincinnati Zoo + Botanical Gardens."
Tickets are $70 per plate kit and can be purchased online glassroomart.com/classes/fiona-zoom-birthday-party.
You can pick up your party kit at Brazee Street Studios (4426 Brazee St., Oakley) on a certain date or have it shipped.
The studio says, "Your shipping fee includes the initial delivery of your order, the pre-paid return label you’ll use to send them back to us, and the final delivery of your finished masterpiece. Kits are sent in quantities of 4 items. Orders of 5 or more kits will require additional shipping."
