Four days a week, you can enjoy virtual programming from the Taft Museum of Art at home.
On Mondays, join Urban Sketchers of Cincinnati and participate in a drawing challenge based on a weekly prompt. The museum says, "Inspired by the Taft collections and architecture, join a group of fellow art lovers (of all skill levels) for a drawing challenge and share your creations by tagging #TaftMuseumDiscovered." You can join the drawing event on YouTube, Facebook or Instagram.
On Wednesdays, participate in a "Taft chat" about the current N.C. Wyeth | New Perspectives exhibit with Assistant Curator Ann Glasscock and Director of Learning and Engagement Elise Solomon. Available on YouTube, Facebook or Instagram.
On Fridays, try your hand at Taft trivia. You can test your knowledge of the 200-year-old home in which the museum is located in advance of the upcoming Built to Last: The Taft Historic House at 200. Challenge yourself on Facebook or Instagram.
The on Sundays, it's a family funday. Head to the museum's YouTube, Facebook or Instagram for family-friendly DIY art activities.
You can also take an audio tour of the permanent collection any time you want. "Opening in 1932, the Museum is home to an extensive art collection that includes European and American master paintings, Chinese porcelains, and European decorative arts. Learn more about major works by Rembrandt, Hals, Goya, Gainsborough, Reynolds, Turner, Ingres, Whistler, and Sargent, as well as one of the greatest Gothic ivory sculptures in America," says the Taft. Take the tour on YouTube.
