Braxton is offering beer drinkers the chance to do good while throwing back a few of their seasonal brew, Jubilee Hoppy Holiday IPA. Jubilee is an 8 percent ABV, 100 IBU hoppy ale with "strong citrus fruit aromas and flavors including orange and grapefruit with subtle fresh pine notes as well as a clean, soft finish," says Braxton.
To celebrate the release of this wintertime fave, Braxton is hosting a weekend-long party at the Covington taproom (27 W. Seventh St., Covington).
Events start on Friday, Nov. 1 with the launch of a canned food drive to benefit Bellevue Independent Schools. Drop a canned good at any three Braxton locations — the taproom, Barrel House or Braxton Labs — and get $1 off your first pint of Jubilee. Braxton is specifically looking for donations of boxed stuffing, brown gravy, cranberry sauce, canned soup, boxed instant potatoes and canned fruit. The food drive runs through Sunday.
On the morning of Nov. 1, stop by the taproom for a Christmas treat and cup of coffee before an evening dance party in the freshly themed Winter Wonderland taproom.
On Saturday, Nov. 2, there will be more "wonderland fun" with a Jubilee sampling from 3-6 p.m. and a dance party 7-11 p.m.
On Sunday, Nov. 3, there will be a cookie-decorating competition from 1-3 p.m. in the Garage and a Jubilee photo booth ready for family photos.
Events are free to attend.
