Over-the-Rhine's boozy ice cream shop Buzzed Bull Creamery is expanding and opening a second store in Maineville this fall.
A new franchise partnership, the Maineville operation will be co-branded with Cincinnati's Roll On In, an Asian fusion restaurant with sushi burritos.
Buzzed Bull uses liquid nitrogen to create both "buzzed" — aka alcohol-infused — and regular ice cream creations and milkshakes.
"Both adults and kids are captivated as they watch their dessert start as a liquid and transform to a frozen state in a matter of seconds," states a release.
And it's true — liquid nitrogen in action is cool to watch. It is an odorless, colorless, safe-to-eat element that quickly freezes the ingredients it comes into contact with, including alcohol.
Buzzed Bull offers 32 different flavors of ice cream and more than 20 mix-ins. The alcoholic options start at 5 percent ABV. Alcohol options run the gamut from flavored vodkas and moonshines to bourbon, brandy and tequila.
Popular flavor combos include Honey Pecan (honey ice cream, pecans, whipped cream, add bourbon) and Death By Chocolate (chocolate ice cream, brownie bites, chocolate chips, chocolate sauce, add chocolate vodka).
The new space will be located at 6052 OH-48, Maineville.
