Early this morning Willie Nelson announced that he was going to have to "cancel (his) tour" due to a "breathing problem" for which he was seeking treatment.
The 86-year-old Nelson's summer touring consisted of his headlining run with the Outlaw Music Festival, which features a rotating lineup of artists, including Robert Plant, Phil Lesh, The Avett Brothers, Alison Krauss and many others.
But later today, promoters clarified that the entire tour was not being canceled, just imminent dates. The Outlaw Music Festival — with Nelson in tow — will resume on Sept. 6 in New Hampshire.
That means that the tour's closing date at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center on Sept. 22 — with Luke Combs, Bonnie Raitt, Brothers Osborne and the Derek Alan Band — is still on. Nelson will play the long-running Farm Aid charity benefit the day before the Cincinnati show.
