National Ice Cream Day is this Sunday, July 19. And while the Queen City is well-equipped with plenty of ice cream parlors and creamy whips to choose from, one in particular is slinging a special deal in honor of the frosty holiday.

West Chester's The Cone is celebrating with $1.50 small and kiddie-sized soft serve cones and cups from noon to 10 p.m.

They will have 20 flavors to choose from, all of which are made in house daily using fresh fruits and high-quality ingredients. Flavor options range from blueberry swirl and pistachio to peanut butter, or their Wren-family-recipe orange sherbet.

The family behind the popular summertime spot has been in the creamy whip businesses since 1973, and has owned The Cone for 26 seasons.

No coupon is required to snag a $1.50 treat — just walk or drive up and order. According to the Facebook event page, there will be three windows and four drive-thru lanes open.

The Cone is located at 6855 Tylersville Road #1415 in West Chester Township.
