UPDATE: Our hearts are with all of those affected by the senseless act of violence that occurred this past weekend. We’ve discussed with many of the restaurants involved in Dayton Burger Week and they wish to continue the promotion in an effort to continue to bring the community together.

During CityBeat's Dayton Burger Week, take a 45-minute cruise up to Dayton/Centerville/Beavercreek for $5 specialty burgers from various restaurants from Aug. 5-11. Just like Cincinnati's Burger Week, these are gourmet offerings and off-menu specialties. Get four or more stamps on your official Dayton Burger Week passport, submit it and be entered to win an ultimate grill out from the Ohio Beef Council.

Brixx Ice Company — Brixx is offering three different burgers. First up is the Spicy Southwest Burger with Monterey jack and cheddar cheese, crispy jalapeno bites, avocado and spicy ranch. Then there's the cheesy bacon cheeseburger, with American cheese, bacon, hand-rolled mac and cheese balls and housemade Sriracha bacon mayo. Brixx is also offering a veggie burger: a spicy black bean burger topped with lettuce, tomato, red onions, banana peppers and homemade pico de gallo.
Mudlick Tap House — Mudlick is serving up two different burgers: A vegan falafel burger and the Pow Burger, with a third-pound Blackhawk Farms ground beef, Broadbent Farms hot Italian sausage, hot house pickles, Fresno jam and a fiery spice blend.
Bar 145 — This bar is serving a grilled cheese burger, with a beef patty sandwiched between two sourdough grilled cheese sandwiches featuring cheddar, smoked gouda, Swiss, tomato, bacon, bourbon barbecue sauce and smoked mayo.
Warped Wing Grill — Head to Warped Wing for two different burgers. There is the Da Vinci (a bison-bacon blend patty with sun-dried tomato pesto, mozzarella cheese, spring mix, balsamic vinegar and stout reduction and crispy fried pepperoni slivers) or the Heater (bison-bacon blend patty served on a pretzel roll with a pub cheese spread, ghost pepper candied bacon and fried jalapeno slices).
Carillon Brewing Co. — Try the grilled angus beef burger served on a toasted brioche buns with bacon jam, lettuce, tomato, pickle chips and topped with an in-house Bier cheese sauce and onion straws.
Nick's Restaurant — Try the Horseradish Barbecue Burger (a 7 oz. beef patty cooked to perfection with pickled red onion and pepperjack cheese and topped with house made horseradish barbecue sauce) or the Apple Slaw Burger (a 7 oz. beef patty cooked to perfection with pepperjack cheese covered with a fresh house made apple slaw).
