YouTube user Russell Hausfeld has uploaded a video of the peaceful protest over the death of George Floyd that took place at noon on Saturday at Washington Park featuring the speakers who shared their important messages over racial injustice and systemic civil rights issues.

Speakers included Fanon Rucker, Democratic candidate for Hamilton County Prosecutor; Leland Brown III, from the office of inclusion at the NCAA; Iris Roley, police reform activist, member of the Black United Front and a key player in Cincinnati's 2001 Collaborative Agreement; Siri Imani, activist and member of TRIIIBE; and organizer DJ HD.

"Our voices need to be heard. We need to get organized and unified right now," said Roley, who said she was also there as a spokesperson on behalf the Benjamin Crump Social Justice Institute, the attorney representing the families of Ahmaud Arbery, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd.

"They want Cincinnati to know that it is important to ensure that the voices of all are equally heard and acknowledged in hopes that this weekend in Cincinnati ends with everyone being safe and well," she said. "He also wants to remind us of the words of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.: 'True peace is not merely the absence of tension. It is the presence of justice.'"
