Ozzy Osbourne has canceled his 2020 "No More Tours 2" North American tour, which was to include a June 4 concert at Cincinnati's Riverbend Music Center. The venue says tickets can be refunded at the point of purchase.
Osbourne was originally supposed to play Riverbend in the summer of 2019, but that tour was canceled due to "an injury sustained while dealing with his recent bout of pneumonia." The 2020 concert was to be the make-up date and feature opener Marilyn Manson.
Osbourne's 2020 venture is also being sidelined by health issues. Earlier this year, the singer revealed he was battling Parkinson’s disease. The press release announcing the tour's cancelation doesn't mention a specific ailment, stating that Osbourne needed "to continue to recover from various health issues he has faced over the past year."
“I’m so thankful that everyone has been patient because I’ve had a shit year,” Osbourne said in the release. “Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks."
Osbourne said he wanted to get the word out now in lieu of having to cancel closer to the show dates. He also sounded optimistic about a return to the road at some point.
“I don’t want to start a tour and then cancel shows at the last minute, as it’s just not fair to the fans," he said. "I’d rather they get a refund now and when I do the North American tour down the road, everyone who bought a ticket for these shows will be the first ones in line to purchase tickets at that time.”
On the event page, Riverbend reiterated that "ticket holders who purchased 'No More Tours 2' tickets will have first access to tickets when the next tour is announced."
