Santa is heading to the Cincinnati Museum Center in a different flying apparatus. The man in red will be visiting the holiday attractions at Union Terminal, arriving by helicopter instead of reindeer-drawn sleigh.
On Friday, Nov. 29, kids (and parents) can watch the UC Health helicopter land and then visit with Santa, who will be available to hear holiday wish lists.
Things kick off at 11 a.m. with festive music and Santa is expected to land at 11:45 a.m. Kids can pick up jingle bells in the rotunda before his arrival and ring them as he makes his way inside during his grand entrance.
The Museum Center has also been transformed into a whimsical winter wonderland by the 73rd-annual Holiday Junction Duke Energy train display. See toy trains zooming around a mini city, faux snow, custom wintery LEGO creations and a view of the Union Terminal rail yard. In addition to a whole lot of locomotives, the event also features a special "interactive winter wonderland" where guests can build snowmen, leave footprints and even take a ride on a train. You'll also get a chance to see Thomas the Tank Engine and friends. (Adult tickets cost $14.50; senior tickets cost $13.50; ages 3-12 tickets cost $10.50; ages 1-2 tickets cost $5.50. Tickets are free for children under 1 and members.)
The Cincinnati Museum Center will have extended hours 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29 and Saturday, Dec. 1. For more info visit cincymuseum.org.
