NASA’s space shuttle program today ended in its 30th year, as the shuttle Atlantis touched down at NASA’s Kennedy Space Center in Florida. "After serving the world for over 30 years, the space shuttle's earned its place in history. And it's come to a final stop," Atlantis commander Chris Ferguson said. "Job well done, America," Mission Control communicator Barry Wilmore replied.—-
NASA Administrator Charles Bolden also voiced his own sentiments in a statement released after the landing. "This final shuttle flight marks the end of an era, but today, we recommit ourselves to continuing human spaceflight and taking the necessary — and difficult — steps to ensure America's leadership in human spaceflight for years to come."
The end of the space shuttle program also marks then end of more than 4,000 jobs, while around 1,000 NASA civil servants will be shifted to other duties at the space center.

Kim Kardashian is suing Old Navy for allegedly using a look-alike in their latest and greatest commercial I’ve never seen, titled, “Super C-U-T-E.” Oh, that one. Kardashian’s lawsuit is seeking unspecified damages and wants a federal judge to prevent Old Navy from using the look-alike again. The alleged doppelganger is actually Melissa Molinaro, appearing in the commercial with her band, The Audio Threadz.
