After retiring from his popular comedy sketch series Chappelle’s Show, comedian Dave Chappelle has returned to doing standup comedy and continues to have a huge following even though his show no longer airs.
He’s recently announced that he’ll perform at 8 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 30, at Connor Palace in Cleveland.
Tickets are on sale now, and there is a four-ticket purchase limit for tickets. No cell phones will be allowed into the show, and anyone who brings a cell phone will be required to place it in a YONDR phone-locking pouch. Everyone is subject to a pat down and wanding, and anyone caught with a cell phone inside the venue will be immediately ejected.
Chapelle performed a couple of times in Dayton in 2019 (the comedian lives in nearby Yellow Springs), both for good causes. In June he played the Schuster Center to benefit NPR affiliate WYSO. And in August he hosted a free "block party" concert in the Gem City after the mass shooting in the city's Oregon District left nine people dead.
