Covington's new German-style ice cream shop Eishaus brings a little something different to the dessert table: The establishment specializes in something called "spaghetti eis" — it looks like spaghetti, but it's ice cream.
And, while ice cream isn't always thought of as a winter-time treat, the noodle-shaped frosty delicacy is perfect to emulate the iconic breakfast creation seen in holiday classic movie Elf.
The creamery has introduced their "Elf Spaghetti," complete with M&Ms, marshmallows, maple syrup, fudge and fudge Pop-Tarts.
"You don’t have to pass through the seven levels of the Candy Cane forest, through the sea of swirly twirly gum drops, or the Lincoln Tunnel to get in the Christmas spirit like Buddy," Eishaus's Facebook post reads.
The treat is available daily starting at 1 p.m. through Jan. 2. Follow their Facebook page for surprise events happening throughout the month.
