Fans who waited 13 years for the release of Tool’s fifth album, Fear Inoculum, have to be giddy with excitement over today’s release. Now they have even more reasons to be excited — particularly fans in Cincinnati.

Tool will bring their tour behind Fear Inoculum to Cincinnati’s U.S. Bank Arena (or whatever it will be called when the naming rights are sold) on Nov. 5.

Tickets ($75, $95 and $125) go on sale Sept. 6 at 10 a.m. Tool Army fan club members can buy tickets beginning Sept. 4.

Post Punk legends Killing Joke are the openers on the tour, which begins — following a previously announced festival show in California — in Denver on Oct. 15 and winds up in Washington, DC on Nov. 25.

Tool has played Cincinnati several times over the past 20-plus years. In 1996 they performed at The Garage (at the site of the former Caddy’s, Downtown near the riverfront) and they were last in town 10 years ago when they performed at Riverbend’s PNC Pavilion.
