Covington-based boutiques Handzy and Gumdrop are growing. The adjacent storefronts — one for adults and one for kids — are expanding with new locations in downtown Cincinnati's West Fourth Street Historic District this fall.

The gals behind the brand, Suzy Hinnefeld and Brittany Braemer, announced their exciting news via a Facebook post on Aug. 10, explaining that much like their current Northern Kentucky shops, their new Cincinnati Handzy and Gumdrop locations will also be side-by-side. But, for an added twist, these two stores will also be connected on the inside.

Handzy opened its first brick-and-mortar in 2016 primarily as a stationery shop and design studio, but they've since expanded to offer an array of accessories, clothing and home goods. In 2019, Hinnefeld and Braemer opened Gumdrop, a super cute children's boutique with the same aesthetic sensibility.

The new locations are slated to open in late October. Follow Handzy Shop + Studio or Gumdrop on Facebook for more updates.
