Cincinnati's Northside neighborhood is inviting its community to participate in a citywide porch party this weekend to offer a little connection during a rather isolating past few months.
"Grab a Corona (w/ Lime) + your quarantine buddy and hit your porch, driveway, patio, front yard, garden or kiddie pool to socialize with your neighbors, a safe 6' apart. Whether you want to dance, grill out, read, work on a puzzle, or play with the kids - it's totally up to you," the Facebook event page reads.
"Want to take it one step further? Get creative and make a sign or flag to wave or hang during the event. Thank healthcare workers or grocery store attendants, share something you're grateful for, or simply make the message your own."
The event organizers encourage participants to post a photo of how they're celebrating their quarantine porch party and post it on the "...only in Northside!" page.
The "party" runs from 4-6 p.m. on Saturday, April 25. Head to the event page to see who all is participating and for more info.
