This week, Cincinnati's popular Japanese-style pop-up Mochiko is offering a way to make their tasty ramen at home.
The eatery is offering DIY kits that include housemade ramen noodles, shoyu broth, pork chashu and toppings — plus a veggie friendly option.
The kits cost $13 and offers one generous serving. Place your orders (maximum of four per person) online starting Tuesday at 2 p.m. The kits are available via curbside pick-up via the Incubator Kitchen Collective at 517 W. Seventh St., Newport from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 14.
Owned by chef Erik Bentz and baker Elaine Townsend, Mochiko is a relatively recent culinary endeavor that takes inspiration from a style of Japanese cuisine known as “yoshoku,” which incorporates Western recipes with Eastern ingredients and sensibilities.
