If you enjoy consuming high amounts of alcohol and dancing absurdly through the streets, then Oktoberfest Zinzinnati is probably your best excuse to do just that. Since 1976, the annual Oktoberfest has celebrated Cincinnati’s rich German heritage with deep fried sauerkraut, German style music and, of course, beer. It’s only logical that the nation’s largest Oktoberfest also includes the nation’s largest chicken dance; in 1994, 48,000 individuals crowded in Fountain Square to take part, and the dance has remained a tradition ever since. The fest kicks off 11:30 a.m. with opening ceremonies and tapping of the keg. Through Sunday, Sept. 23. 11 a.m.-midnight Saturday; 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday. Fifth Street from Race to Broadway streets, Downtown. oktoberfestzinzinnati.com.
