Preview: Gravesongs

Playwright Sarah Underwood has worked with the five women in ETC's intern company and intern/director Liz Maxwell on this series of scenes and monologues about those who have left this world and listen in on the remarks of those who remain.

American playwright Robert Anderson once said, “Death ends a life but not a relationship.” Written by local playwright Sarah Underwood, Gravesongs will be performed by the five women who have constituted this year’s intern company at Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati.

Underwood has worked all season long with the actors in training and intern/director Liz Maxwell on this series of scenes and monologues about those who have left this world and listen in on the remarks of those who remain. It’s an exploration of the sweet, the sad and the seriously funny sides of death.

Performed at Ensemble Theatre of Cincinnati May 28, 30 and 31 and June 4-5 (see map of Fringe venues here)
