Aisle Gallery (on the third floor at 424 Findlay St. in the West End, home to Carl Solway Gallery) hosts Nature’s Stain, an exhibition featuring work by Carmel Buckley and Joel Fisher.

Buckley’s new drawings extract fragments from early-20th-century fairytale illustrator Harry Clarke. The results are formalist and open-ended — in some places whimsical and funny, in others dark and psychologically suspenseful. Fisher, who lives and works in France, has been developing a body of work called the “Apographs” in which subtle drawing interacts with sheets of paper the artist has made.

Nature's Stain continues through Aug. 20. Get show and gallery details here.
