With all the overeating and binge drinking, it's no wonder that the holidays are cause for the blues. We recommend THE DUKE ROBILLARD BAND for a little commiserating over the next couple of weeks. Robillard — supporting his latest release, The Explorer, on Shanachie Records — won Best Blues Guitarist honor this year at the esteemed W.C. Handy Awards and also helped make Bob Dylan's "comeback" album Time Out of Mind a satisfying one. Robillard's brand of Blues is a fairly celebratory one, as the guitarist leads his band with flourishes of Rock, Country and even Latin Jazz.
