We may have to wait until 2050 for space tourism but there is definitely an out of this world feeling at the Cincinnati Zoo’s Festival of Lights. Whirl through light tunnels into other galaxies without the loss of gravity. Observe aliens roar and growl and swim on their planets. Take a ride on a space-locomotive and see a show in a black-hole theater. Multi-colored stars will illuminate your way to see the elves and Santa and his reindeer. Whether you decide to consider this celebration as here or beyond planet earth, either perspective will lead you and the ones you bring along on a truly enchanting journey. The Festival of Lights will be open 5-9 p.m. nightly through Jan. 1. Admission prices are $14 adults, $10 children (2-12) and children younger than two are free. Parking is $8. Caution: Your cheeks may be sore the next day from smiling for many hours.
