Director Scott Mann (The Tournament) seems to fully embrace the old-school B-movie aesthetic, based on the premise of his latest film Heist. A pair of co-workers (Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Dave Bautista), each in desperate need of cash, foolishly plan to rob a casino owned by a notorious crime lord (Robert De Niro), but the scheme runs off the rails and the duo winds up hijacking a bus. Not only does that plot line sound bombastic, but the supporting cast — Gina Carano, Kate Bosworth, D.B. Sweeney and Morris Chestnut — screams mindless fun.
