Chicago live Hip Hop ensemble Sidewalk Chalk proved itself to be a great party band with substance to local audiences at the past few MidPoint Music Festivals. No doubt, many who caught the eight-member Hip Hop/Soul/Jazz collective at a recent MPMF will be moving their feet to Sidewalk Chalk when the band returns to Cincinnati for a free New Year’s Eve performance. The band recently announced its sophomore album, Leaves, will be available in late February by unveiling the LP’s first single, “There She Goes,” on respected Hip Hop hub okayplayer.com.
