The May Festival celebrates its 30th year with conductor James Conlon. This great vocal arts tradition combines the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra with legends of the vocal arts like Broadway’s Patti Lupone, renowned American tenor John Aler, the “new voice in opera,” Rebekah Camm and more. Opening night features Lupone singing Weill’s “The Seven Deadly Sins,” the story of two sisters who suffer temptation and exploitation, and continues with Mozart’s “Requiem.”
The festival spans two weekends, May 22-24 and May 29-30, with other musical selections, world-class talent and special dinners. Festivities conclude with Conlon directing the “Symphony of a Thousand” at 8 p.m. May 30 at Music Hall. $17-$95.
