Event: St. Patrick's Day Celebrations Downtown

St. Patrick’s’ Day could be one of the most underrated holidays of the year. First of all, you get an excuse to drink as much beer as you want … perfect. Then, you can fake an accent the entire day and no one — I say NO ONE, lad!! — can stop you. And, if that’s not enough, Cincinnatians (and Northern Kentuckians) are soon to be feelin’ extra lucky. They have the opportunity to enjoy two days of nonstop fun at the Cincinnati St. Patty’s Day Parade on Saturday as well as The St. Patty’s Celebration in Washington Park on Sunday. At the parade, starting promptly at noon (in rain or shine … or snow), observers can expect to see floats, pipers, step dancers, Irish families and marching bands all throughout downtown. Then on Sunday at the park, you can participate in some true Irish traditions from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. Some of these activities include a variety of Irish dance companies like the McGing Irish Dancers and the Celtic Rhythm Dancers.
