Taking a break from the exaggerated violence of The Transformers franchise, Michael Bay sets his sights on the real-life drama and intensely perilous action of the assault on the U.S. embassy in Libya, which resulted in the death of the American ambassador. Based on the book by Mitchell Zuckoff, 13 Hours focuses on the efforts of a six-man security team (featuring Toby Stephens and John Krasinski) that fought to minimize the casualties as much as humanly possible.
