Seeking an all out, extreme haunt experience? Get your fix by descending into a world of hellish fright at the Haunted Cave. The cave is an abandoned mine 80 feet underground and serves as one of the most intense standalone haunted attractions in the state. Anxiety takes hold as fright seekers make their way down a steep mine shaft lit by flickering halogens that burn out every now and then for up to a minute, leaving everyone in absolute darkness. Staff members are explicit with their warnings about bat and snake encounters, bringing the fear to a new level.
The 40-minute tour leads visitors through a graveyard, laboratory, forest, chain link maze and many other memorable scenes that are festering with crazed creatures of the night that will get up close and personal. Visitors will also have to wade through a foggy swamp and find their way through hell (a series of hallways marked “Despair,” “Agony” and other not so desirable feelings) in order to escape the cave and find their way back to the surface.
