The Cincinnati Chamber Opera closes its season with Claudio Monteverdi’s late Renaissance/early Baroque opera L’Orfeo, based on the legend of Orpheus, his descent into Hades and his attempt to return his bride Eurydice to the land of the living. The opera — in Italian with English subtitles — is presented in collaboration with the Cincinnati Early Music Festival and will feature 10 principal artists and a chamber ensemble of instruments.
