“I took eight years off of doing stand-up,” says comedian Dave Coulier, “and now I am having more fun doing it than I ever have. The shows are sold out, with a lot of Full House fans.” He adds that the fan base from that program ranges from those who watched the show originally to young folks who have found it in syndication.
The series has been very good to him on a number of fronts as well. “People ask me all the time, ‘Do you still get residuals?’ ” he says. “I tell them, ‘I don’t mean to brag, but if I wanted to, I could buy a new T-shirt every week. Long sleeve.’ ”
Coulier is currently touring North America, building a new hour called Glorified Birthday Clown.
