The Cincinnati Pops is pulling no punches with its 4th of July celebration. There will be dancing, fireworks, corn hole, and, of course, music. The festivities begin at 6:30 p.m. with a selection of family friendly activities including instrument-making, face painting, some sort of hot air balloon lottery, and corn hole. The Pops begin playing at 8 p.m. with a focus on patriotic songs and anthems. They will also perform the 1812 Overture with narration by Nick Clooney. The concert includes dance performances by two local troupes, and the night concludes with Rozzi's fireworks. Jerry Steichen conducts. Carnival-style fun begins 6:30 p.m. Sunday, concert begins at 8 p.m. $15 - $20, Riverbend Music Center, 6295 Kellogg Avenue.
