The title of Brittany Gibbons’ new memoir says a lot about the content therein: Fat Girl Walking: Sex, Food, Love, and Being Comfortable in Your Skin … Every Inch of It. The rural Ohio native is a large lady, and she’s not afraid to highlight that fact, but she’s also a lot of other things. Via Gibbons’ blog bio, she’s a “body image advocate, model, author, TED speaker, media personality, internet catalyst, curve flaunter, comedian, adult summer camp owner, fashion hoarder and eater of cold Chinese takeout in the fridge.” And no doubt Gibbons will touch on all that and more when she discusses Fat Girl Walking at Joseph-Beth.
