Located on West 15th in Over-the-Rhine, HARVEST is one of Cincinnati’s newest non-commercial art spaces. Established this year with the mission of promoting emerging local and regional artists, this Friday the gallery presents Past is Prologue, a show of abstract drawing, painting and sculpture by six 2012 graduates of the Art Academy of Cincinnati. Organized by Gallery Director Michael Hurst in collaboration with artist Cedric Michael Cox, Taft Museum Chief Preparator Mark Rohling and Kim Krause of the Art Academy, the show is an opportunity for these young artists to bring their works to a larger audience; one lucky artist will be selected by Hurst, Cox and Rohling to receive a solo exhibition later this year. Through May 25. Opening reception 7-10 p.m. HARVEST Art Gallery. 216 W. 15th St., Over-the-Rhine. Info: [email protected].
