“My style’s kind of one-liners like the old guys, like Rodney Dangerfield,” says comedian “Uncle” Larry Reeb, “but I’m more twisted and sicker than that, and that comes more from George Carlin. It’s kind of a combination of those two. The “Uncle” handle came years ago, when after a joke he quickly added the tag “some advice from your Uncle Lar,” and it just stuck. Today he still doles out pearls of comic wisdom. “Everyone drinking?” he’ll ask an audience. “Good. Everyone should drink because alcohol is heavily taxed and all the money goes to schools, so drink up, you’re not a drunk you’re an education provider; a tip from your Uncle Lar.” A road comic in the truest sense, Reeb performs 47 or so weeks a year. In the past few years he’s played gigs in Las Vegas, and wouldn’t mind landing a permanent gig in “The Meadows.” “Oh, I’d love that that actually.
