The best way to celebrate a foreign holiday is the American way, so when Bastille Day rolls around there’s only one thing to do (if you live in Cincinnati): Aller Bastille Day fte! That's French for “stop by Downtown Olde Montgomery on Saturday where there will be food and live music as incentive to appreciate the French.” Epic ’80s cover band The Rusty Griswolds and vocal ensemble The Mistics headline the event. The Sycamore Community Band will kick off the shindig with the national anthems of both France and the United States of America (because let’s be honest, where would France be without the U.S.? Speaking Le German, that’s where) while locals Ridge Runner provide a Country twang for the occasion. Attendees can expect to be provided with the finest in French cuisine, such as les BBQ ribs, Le Pizza, des hamburgers et des Brats. Visitors will also be offered up such pastimes enjoyed by the French including face painting, clowns, gambling and a moonwalk as enjoyed in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. The party starts at noon and ends at 11 p.m. The event takes place on Montgomery Road between Cooper and Remington roads.
