They grow up so fast these days. It seems like it was just four years ago that vocalist Alex DeLeon and bassist Cash Colligan were Las Vegas high school students recording home demos, posting them on their MySpace page and assembling the first version of The Cab. And it seems like it was just two years ago that they ran into Panic at the Disco drummer Spencer Smith at a Cobra Starship concert and passed him a demo, which led to The Cab’s contract with Fueled by Ramen imprint Decaydence Records before they had even graduated from high school. Wait, that was two years ago. They really do grow up fast these days.
The frenetic Pop/Rock quintet has certainly made the most of its opportunities, moving from high-profile support gigs to its current status at the top of the marquee for its first national headlining circuit — going by the appropriate title of “The What Happens in Vegas... Tour” — where the band will doubtless be doing songs from the recently released Lady Luck EP.
