ome downtown for the MidPoint music, enjoy the urban experience and move your feet — but save your shoe leather for the dance floors. With so many bands to see each evening in a variety of clubs, festival organizers are once again providing shuttle service to get you around quickly.
Metro, Cincinnati’s transit authority, will have three of its newest hybrid buses circulating around Downtown and Over-the-Rhine 9 p.m.-1 a.m. all three nights of MidPoint. The buses will make stops every five minutes at marked locations running north on Main Street, west on Liberty Street, south on Walnut Street and east on Fifth Street.
The rides are free for everyone with a three-day MPMF wristband. You can still ride if you don’t have a wristband, but you’ll pay a $1.75 fare each time. See the above map for stop locations.
As if you won’t be hearing enough live music, the buses will host select MPMF artists playing
unplugged sessions onboard. Thanks to the Fine Arts Fund for sponsoring the transit fun.
Metro is a nonprofit, tax-funded public service of the Southwest Ohio Regional Transit Authority, providing about 19 million rides per year. Its new hybrid fuel buses were purchased with funds provided by the federal stimulus program.
