Jimmy Pardo continues his slow-but-steady ascent to the top of the comedy world. As the opening comedian for the live audience at Conan and the host of the popular Never Not Funny podcast, he has not only built a solid fan base, but also a reputation as a comedian’s comedian. Consider that when the recent round of late night talk show hosting slots opened up, folks like Patton Oswalt lobbied for Pardo to be considered for Late Night on NBC or The Late Late Show on CBS. “As soon as that got out, they announced Seth Meyers as the host of Late Night,” Pardo says. Last month, though, Pardo signed a deal with Conan O’Brien’s production company to develop scripted and unscripted reality shows.
