Who says you have to trek all the way to Aspen to hit the slopes this winter? Ski buffs, snowboarders and even novices more comfortable on inflatable tubes are all welcome at Lawrenceburg, Ind.’s Perfect North Slopes. Perfect North, which is only about half an hour from Cincinnati, has something for every ambitious winter sportsperson. Hills range from kid-friendly to intermediate-level to steep and winding; there are even a couple double-black-diamond, expert-only trails for the thrill-seekers among us. Just remember to look out for those pesky trees. If you don’t own your own board or set of skis and boots, fear not – a rental shop is on site and set to equip you with all your outfitting needs. General-admission tickets cost $35-$43 and provide you with up to eight consecutive hours of snowy recreation, assuming you show up early enough.
