The BBC New Year’s Day special that marked the return of what is arguably the world’s most famous investigative duo is coming to the big screen in theaters nationwide. The one-off Sherlock: The Abominable Bride follows Sherlock Holmes (Benedict Cumberbatch) and John Watson (Martin Freeman) as they travel back in time to 1895, when a murderous ghost garbed in a wedding dress is stalking the streets of London. Included in the special cinema presentation is a guided set tour of 221B Baker St. hosted by co-writer Steven Moffat, as well as a short feature starring Cumberbatch and Freeman depicting the making of The Abominable Bride.
