Raised in Covington, Ky., singer/songwriter Jesse Thomas cut her teeth in the Greater Cincinnati music scene before relocating to Los Angeles to pursue her music career full time a few years ago. So far, so good. The deft writer combines elements of Folk, Pop, Country and Rock into a sublime mix, which has earned Thomas song placements in film (her “Falling Out of View” played over the end credits of Decoding Annie Parker, starring Aaron Paul and Helen Hunt) and television (Shameless, The Vampire Diaries and many other shows). Thomas’ debut, War Dancer, charted in the Top 25 on four different Billboard charts upon its release in 2012, while her excellent, recently released follow-up, Burn the Boats, hit No. 7 on the iTunes singer/songwriter chart.
