Bridges, although sculptural themselves, are seldom the scene of sculpture shows, but this weekend the Purple People Bridge will be alive with sculpture as well as people when the second annual RiverSpan Sculpture Exhibition and Sale fills its length. Work from some 80 artists from around the country will be on display, available for purchase at prices ranging from $225 to $90,000. The special Sneak Peek takes place from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday with $5 admission. The Patrons’ Walk, enlivened with the presence of some of the sculptors, light fare, open bar and live music plus other benefits, takes place 5 to 9 p.m. Friday evening. Admission is $75, which also entitles free admission on subsequent days. On both Saturday (10 a.m.-8 p.m.) and Sunday (10 a.m.-5 p.m.), general admission is $15. A percentage of ticket costs goes to operational funds for the Purple People Bridge. Get details and find nearby bars and restaurants here.
