It's easy to lose sight of Halloween's traditionally child-centric role in our culture. The main events often look like a Saturday night slasher film come to life with crazy, horror movie-inspired haunted houses and booze-fueled dance parties that are way more sexy than scary. What's a kid to do? Thankfully, there are local folks who have an answer for that, and deliver mild frights and fun happenings for local families.
The A-Maze-ing Corn Adventure — Pick out your jack-o-lantern-to-be at this local, family farm. Families will enjoy hayrides and pony rides, a farm animal petting zoo and a tricky corn maze.
