Opening Day marks more than the start of the Reds season. It also marks the day when the Tyler Davidson Fountain is activated. Fountain Day gives the "Genius of Water" her own celebration with live music, speeches, food, drink and fireworks.
Fourth Day Echo kicks off the event with live music starting at 6 p.m. Emcee Bob Herzog (from Channel 12) will introduce the Vice Mayor, Roxanne Qualls at 8 p.m. to turn on the Fountain for 2010. She will officially welcome spring to the city and give the signal to let the water flow once again from the hands of the Genius of Water atop the beautiful Tyler Davidson Fountain.
